The School Day
Children are expected to attend school daily from 9am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday totalling 32.50 hours per week.
Our School Day Timeline
8:45am - Gates open
8:50am - Doors open. This is a good time for parents to pass on quick messages to teachers and teaching assistants
9.00am - Registration
9.05am - Gates closed
10.15am - Morning Break. Children are supervised on both playgrounds by teachers and teaching assistants. Fruit is provided for KS1 and Reception children. We encourage children in KS2 to bring in a healthy snack such as fruit or breadsticks, a healthly tuck shop is available to KS2 children at break
12.00 - 1.00pm – Lunch for KS1 and Reception pupils. All these children are entitled to a universal free school lunch, lunch is eaten in the school hall. Afterwards the children enjoy structured supervised play outside on the lower playground.
12.15 - 1.15pm – Lunchtime for KS2 pupils (Years 3 - 6). A hot dinner or a school packed lunch can be ordered daily. Lunches are charged at £2.50 or free to those pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals. A packed lunch may also be brought from home.
3.00pm - Assembly - an opportunity for all children to meet as a whole school community.
3:25pm - Gates open - please note the gates will only be opened once all children are inside the building, please bear with us if we run a little late.
3.30pm – End of school day for children in Reception, KS1 and KS2. Please note all children must be collected by a nominated adult. Parents of children in year 6 may make a request for their child to walk home unaccompanied, these requests must be authorised by the headteacher.
