11.30am / 3.15pm - Story and Songs
11.45am / 3.30pm - Doors open, collection and end of the session.
Red Butterflies (Full Day):
Red Butterflies remain for lunch and sit in the School Hall for their meal. They also have some outdoor play after lunch in the Nursery garden.
As Red Butterflies attend for 30 hours, we plan additional activities throughout the week based on the children's interests, our theme and their next steps. The Nursery team adapt the afternoon sessions on a weekly basis to meet the needs and interests of the children.
Red and Blue Butterflies use the School Hall on a Thursday morning and Friday afternoon to complete a formal P.E. session in preparation for school.
Children in Red and Blue Butterflies take part in weekly Forest School sessions. These sessions are planned and delivered to support the children in 'Understanding the World' - learning about nature, the changing seasons and the local environment.
Children in Caterpillars go on weekly welly walks around the school grounds. They explore the school field, our School Garden and our designated Forest School sites. Welly walks are part of mini adventures linked to 'Understanding the World' and 'Physical Development'.
