PE
Intent
The intent of our Physical Education offer is to provide a broad, ambitious curriculum that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and physically demanding activities. We enable our pupils to confidently engage with competitive sport and physical activities in a way that builds character and embeds notions of fairness and respect. This programme has been devised to promote opportunity and inclusion for all our children, no matter their background.
During their time at Millbrook Primary School, our children will be exposed to high-quality physical education which will include competitive opportunities in intra and inter school events. We seek out opportunities for all pupils to flourish in Physical Education lessons that are inclusive and ensure every child feels valued and respected. Children will be given the opportunity to lead their own learning whilst designing and implementing their own activities. This will include working with other pupils to develop a confidence and love of sport. Through a diverse curriculum, children will be exposed to a multitude of sporting activities to promote a love of physical education.
