Dear Parents/Carers,
ENFORCED SCHOOL CLOSURE
Following the announcement from the government this evening - Monday 4th January 2021, schools will be closed with immediate effect to all pupils except for Nursery children, Children of key workers and those classed as vulnerable. We are being asked to do this to reduce the further spread of COVID-19 to others in the community.
What will happen now?
School will be closed to ALL pupils from Tuesday 5th January 2021.
A provision for Nursery Children and Children of Key workers and those classed as vulnerable will reopen on Wednesday 6th January. If you wish to secure a place at the key worker provision, you must contact the school office between 9am and mid-day on Tuesday 5th January.
Nursery staff will be contacting parents of Nursery children on Tuesday 4th January to gain the level of take-up.
The inclusion team will contact those classed as vulnerable to discuss attending the provision.

We will continue to support your child’s educational journey remotely
We will hand deliver a remote learning pack for your child to complete
On Tuesday 5th January a member of staff from your child’s class will contact you and your child by phone to discuss the way forward and offer support – please note that this will be from a withheld number as staff will also be working remotely
We will continue to provide the class’s planned activities on a weekly/fortnightly basis
If your child is eligible to Free School Meals, we will provide you with a packed lunch, these will be ready for collection daily between 11am – midday on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th and Friday 8th January, with a view to moving to vouchers the following week.

Latest News from Telford & Wrekin - Free Breakfast Packages for families eligible to free school meals
Today we have been informed by Telford & Wrekin Council that as part of their commitment to Protect, Care and Invest in the borough they are providing extra support until the end of the Christmas holidays, to families eligible for free school meals (due to financial circumstances).
They are offering FREE 'Breakfast packages' for 5 days a week
If you qualify for Free School Meals please visit www.telford.gov.uk/breakfast for details on how to register and where to collect your FREE breakfast package.
Free school meals during October 2020 half term
Local cafes and businesses are also providing free food to children on free school meals outside of term time, in Shropshire and Telford. Please follow the link below for further details.

Arrival and Departures
Make your way onto the school site at the designated time (see table below) and keep younger children with you by holding their hand.
To help maintain social distancing on site, please can only one adult accompany your child and please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your child's start/collection time.
Drop off and collection points will be clearly marked on the playground. To make things easy for you, drop and collection will be at the same place.
Please do not worry, there will be members of staff on hand to direct you!

Latest information for Parents and Carers regarding closure due to Coronavirus from Department for Education.
Supporting the Community
We are very proud of all the work done by the pupils and staff at Millbrook to support others throughout the year.
The Community Food Hub that ran in School during the summer term and the weekly on site visit from FareShare supported many families from the local community.
FareShare will continue to visit Millbrook every Tuesday 12pm - 1pm until further notice.
