Governing Board
Our Governing board in chaired by Mrs Ann Lombardi and includes 8 representatives from our community, parents of pupils, school staff and the Local Authority.
The main responsibilities for the Governors at Millbrook Primary school is to work with the Headteacher to continue the positive progression and achieve the schools strategic goals. These include;
- setting the overall vision and direction of the school
- overseeing the budget
- helping recruit staff
- monitoring the performance of the school, for example in examinations and key stage tests holding senior staff to account for school improvement
- advising on school policies and procedures.
Governors' meetings are held on a termly basis to discuss and oversee the strategic direction and performance of the school. These meetings provide a platform for governors to fulfill their responsibilities, including setting school policies, approving budgets, and monitoring the school's overall effectiveness. Copies of the minutes from these meetings are available upon request from the school office, ensuring transparency and accountability within the governance process.
