A normal school day
8:45am - Doors open and children go to classes. This is a good time for parents to pass on quick messages to teachers and teaching assistants. Children will be engaged in some routine morning work such as spelling or handwriting practice.
10.45am – Morning Break. Children are supervised on both playgrounds by teachers and teaching assistants. Fruit is provided for KS1 and Reception children. We encourage children in KS2 to bring in a healthy snack such as fruit or breadsticks.
11.00am – End of playtime for all children
12.00 noon – Start of lunchtime for KS1 and Reception children. All these children are entitled to a free school lunch which is eaten in the school hall. Afterwards they have a playtime outside on their playground.
12.15pm – Start of lunchtime for KS2 pupils. Only eligible children are entitled to a free school meal. Those who are not may pay for either a hot dinner or a school packed lunch, currently £2.35 per day. A packed lunch may also be brought from home.
1pm – End of playtime for KS1 and Reception children.
1.15pm – End of playtime for KS2 children.
2.45pm – Assembly – an opportunity for all children to gather in the hall as a school community.
3.15pm – End of school day for Reception, KS1 and KS2 children. Please note all children in years R - 4 must be collected by a nominated adult.
