Dear Parents and Carers,

Following the announcement from the government this evening - Monday 4th January 2021, schools will be closed with immediate effect to all pupils except for Nursery children, Children of key workers and those classed as vulnerable. We are being asked to do this to reduce the further spread of COVID-19 to others in the community.

What will happen now?

School will be closed to ALL pupils from Tuesday 5th January 2021.

A provision for Nursery Children and Children of Key workers and those classed as vulnerable will reopen on Wednesday 6th January. If you wish to secure a place at the key worker provision, you must contact the school office between 9am and mid-day on Tuesday 5th January.

Nursery staff will be contacting parents of Nursery children on Tuesday 4th January to gain the level of take-up.

The inclusion team will contact those classed as vulnerable to discuss attending the provision.

Our commitment to you!

We will continue to support your child’s educational journey remotely

We will hand deliver a remote learning pack for your child to complete

On Tuesday 5th January a member of staff from your child’s class will contact you and your child by phone to discuss the way forward and offer support – please note that this will be from a withheld number as staff will also be working remotely

We will continue to provide the class’s planned activities on a weekly/fortnightly basis

If your child is eligible to Free School Meals, we will provide you with a packed lunch, these will be ready for collection daily between 11am – midday on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th and Friday 8th January, with a view to moving to vouchers the following week.

We will continue to keep you updated and all information will be uploaded to the school website – Latest News and COVID 19 sections.
